When you lose someone, you suddenly face dozens of tasks, at a time when you have no strength for them. We founded Still Alive because we believe no one should have to carry this alone.
To do this we bring together two worlds that rarely meet: the experience of funeral directors and bereavement professionals, and the technology of the fino group, which has been working behind the scenes of banks for over ten years.

fino is founded in Kassel
In April 2015 fino digital GmbH is founded, today the fino group.

The first automatic account switch
In September 2015 the first account switch runs on fino technology. The same technology now finds the contracts in the cancellation service.
- 2019
BaFin licence
In July 2019 fino is licensed by BaFin as an account information service. The secure look at the account in the cancellation service is based on this.
- 2026
Still Alive is founded
In April 2026 we found Still Alive. The idea grew out of conversations with funeral directors.

BEFA and market launch
In June 2026 we present Still Alive at BEFA in Düsseldorf and launch the cancellation service.
